On Wednesday, Sept. 27, Emily Mackie, founder of Inspired Interiors, celebrated the launch of her new line and retail site THE VAULT by Emily Mackie at the Inspired Interiors showroom at 25 W. Hubbard St.

More than 75 VIP guests attended the event, which featured four product activations in each corner of the space that enticed guests to ‘Dare To Live,’ the ethos behind her brands, Inspired Interiors and The Vault, as well as displays of her products throughout the showroom. Products include a specially curated collection of lifestyle items from bathtubs and blankets to light fixtures and pillows to furniture and other décor.

Upon entering, guests were served drinks from Chicago-operated Koval Distillery and light (and delicious!) bites were served throughout the evening from Entertaining Company. Violinist Michael Kleinerman from The Internationals was also on-hand to play tunes throughout the evening. The sophisticated night had a touch of playful elements, such as male models who posed with “The Naked Blanket” on a bed provided by Chicago Luxury Beds and in a tub with “Vivien’s ‘La Vie’” bathtub tray (designed by Mackie’s daughter Vivien)  to engage guests to pose for social media and admire some of Mackie’s new products.

The first activation featured her signature chair the “’Me Time’ Swing” chair hung from the ceiling. Behind it was a flower wall designed by celebrity florist Roberto Gonzalez and Platinum Events. White roses adorned the wall and a photographer was on hand to capture moments for social media.

The second activation was a vignette dressed as a bedroom with a bed, adorned with Mackie’s signature “The Naked Blanket.”

Next was the bathtub with a bath bar of luscious soaps, “Vivien’s ‘La Vie’” bathtub tray and a mirror-turned-TV known as the “Walnut Floor Mirror (with hidden TV).” A model was in the bath to showcase how to utilize the bathtub tray and encourage guests to take photos for social.

As you moved throughout the space, scenes were set up with Mackie’s products, including vases, leather baskets, blankets, sconces, end tables, pillows and chairs were set up to resemble a real-life home setting.

The fourth and final activation consisted of Mackie’s revamped chairs, featuring actual seats from 1960s and ’70s cars with a modern flair known as “The Roadster” chairs. A whiskey tasting from Koval encouraged guests to sip and sit before circulating through the rest of the showroom.
