Is there anything more summery than a world-class golf course overlooking the ocean and vintage, luxury cars? According to Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, there is not. Located on the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links’ 18th Fairway, Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is an event that no car enthusiast can miss. On August 20, 200 of the world’s finest collector cars are presented for both the viewers’ and judges’ delight. The event, which began in 1950 as a race, now focuses on the historical accuracy and upkeep of the cars, rather than their speed. Alongside classics like 1964 Reactor and the 1930 Isotta Fraschini Tipo, cutting edge concept cars, like the Audi R8 V10 Spyder, will be present at this year’s event. Attendees spend the day enjoying the car show as well as the golf course’s serene, resort-like feel.
Guests enjoying a beautiful afternoon at the show.
Of course, the Concours is more than just a fabulous event, it is a chance for sponsors, donors and guests to give to those in need, with proceeds (over $23 million and counting) benefiting the Pebble Beach Company Foundation. While the cars are certainly the the event’s talking point, guests will find sophistication in all of Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance’s details, from its location and atmosphere to its honorable cause.
