Just when you thought Chicago’s luxury hotel scene couldn’t get any better, think again. This year, some of the hottest names in hospitality are staking claim on the Windy City’s most coveted corners. Here are just three establishments lending their high-profile namesake and calling Chicago home.

    Hotel EMC2

    When: May 2017

Hotel EMC2 is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection hotels and embodies art and science through its design. Contemporary amenities, upscale accommodations and art-inspired decor will create a one-of-a-kind experience in Chicago–a far cry from what the city currently has to offer. The hotel will open in Streeterville, just steps from Michigan Avenue and in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Hotel EMC2 will house the Albert, a cocktail reception and restaurant with a globally-inspired cuisine and drinks.

    Viceroy Chicago

    When: Fall 2017

Gold Coast, get ready for this happening hotel to swoop in your sophisticated corner. As Viceroy’s first destination in the Windy City will be located at the site of the 1920s-era Cedar Hotel among historic mansions. The Viceroy Chicago will provide bespoke luxury in the form of 180 guestrooms and suites, while exploring the modern and Midwest flavors the region has to offer. The hotel will feature views of Lake Michigan and be just steps away from the Magnificent Mile, allowing high-end guests the chance to shop and sightsee in the heart of all the happenings. Expect art, lifestyle and design to integrate in this vintage-chic hotel.

    Nobu Hotel

    When: In 2018

The hottest neighborhood in Chicago–the West Loop–will soon find itself adding to its slew of trendy bars and restaurants with Nobu Hotel. If Nobu sounds familiar to you, its because it is known as one of the sexiest restaurants in New York and Los Angeles from chef Nobu Matsuhia. With investor Robert De Niro on board, the two are opening up luxury hotels across North America, offering guests a funky stay. According to sources, the hotel will be eight stories high. Though we don’t know much about the hotel just yet, we can expect to see some cool things from the brand at the end of 2017.

“We are extremely pleased to begin development of the Nobu Hotel Chicago as the West Loop neighborhood is not only a culinary epicenter for renowned restaurants and chefs but also a highly desired destination for national and international travelers seeking world-class, enriching experiences,” said Trevor Horwell, Chief Executive of Nobu Hospitality. “We’re excited to introduce Nobu Hotel to Chicago and embrace the vibrant energy of the city.”
