It’s hard to imagine a time when Boka Restaurant Group (Girl & the Goat, Momotaro, Somerset, Boka) didn’t dominate the Chicago dining scene. With 15 restaurants under their belt, spanning from Lincoln Park to West Loop, Boka Restaurant Group’s latest addition to their impressive portfolio puts a fancy French spin on the Randolph Street space. Introducing: Bellemore.
Kevin Boehm and Rob Katz, founders of BRG and James Beard Award finalists, enlisted chef Jimmy Papadopoulos (Bohemian House) to head the artistic American cuisine menu at Bellemore, which will have a warm and classic menu Papadopoulos is known for. Like many new restaurants, the menu will change seasonally to offer the freshest ingredients possible. Beverage Director of Somerset, Devereaux and Bellemore, Lee Zaremba, will head the beverage selection and wine director Sarah Carpenter’s specialized wine list will feature more than 200 bottles.
The luxurious 6,000-square foot space designed by Studio K features mixed neutral tones with pops of pink, orange and purple. Gorgeous brass chandeliers, contemporary art, wood columns and vintage mirror accentuate the space with artsy, European-inspired edge. The entryway features a lounge area next to the bar, which features wrought-iron bird cages above it.
Oyster Pie (a savory oyster custard topped with oestra caviar, a touch of creme fraiche, lemon dressed apple and dill)
Fall Salad (pork braised quince braised with Brussel sprouts, toasted pumpkin seeds, crispy grains and whipped gorgonzola).
Bellemore is now open for dinner.
