Marriott International, the largest hotel company in the world, has big plans for 2018. They are set to open 40 luxury hotels across their eight distinct luxury brands. Their brands include the Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis, W hotels, The Luxury Collection, EDITION, and JW Marriott. By the end of 2017, Marriott International will have 422 luxury properties, with 200 more in the pipeline.

The Ritz-Carlton will benefit the most in 2018. It will open six exciting locations, including China’s scenic Jiuzhaigou Valley, and it’s also planning to renovate key properties in Berlin and Istanbul. Now that the Ritz-Carlton has three reserve properties, the unveiling of the Ritz Carlton Reserve in Los Cabos, will only further enhance the brand’s ability to offer intimate and culturally immersive experiences to travelers.

St. Regis Hotels and Resorts, who will have 42 hotels in 21 countries, will celebrate with a renovation of the St. Regis in Rome, and will also have openings in locations such as Cairo Amma, Shanghai, and Astana.

Here’s a preview of what’s inside two new renovated hotels:

The JW Marriot Essex in New York, will have a brand new executive lounge, a 24- hour fitness center, and a bar and restaurant with a full view of the park. Not only that, the Essex will feature 16 meeting rooms and executive boardrooms, a 3,800-square foot Grand Salon and an art deco suite that can fill up to 125 people.

In Cleveland, the Ritz Carlton has just finished their 18-month renovation on its establishment. New to the building is the Core Fitness center, which include bikes from Technogym and Peloton, a fitness on-demand wall that has virtual workout classes and a smoothie bar. The club lounge also underwent changes, all guest bathrooms will have bench seating and the tubs have shower wands.

For over 20 years, Marriott has worked hard to stay at the top of the hotel industry. But after the acquiring the rights to the Ritz-Carlton and Starwood Hotels and Resorts last year, now they’re at the top of the list.

Anyone planning an awesome vacation for 2018?
