Ellipse is taking over the Jersey City waterfront offering panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. The new, high-end rental tower in Newport will host over 15,000 residents. Newport has quickly become one of the largest mixed-use communities, and Ellipse is breaking away from the traditional look thanks to its ambiguous shape and glass exterior designed by Miami-based design firm, Arquitectonica.
Not only was Arquitectonica responsible for the gorgeous exterior, the firm also helped design the 381 residences that span from spacious studios to three-bedroom homes, including five unique penthouse apartments and two exclusive, four-bedroom homes.
Each residence is equipped with oversized floor-to-ceiling windows, oak-plank hardwood flowers, two-tone kitchen cabinetry stylishly paired with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, and ample closet space with select units featuring walk-ins.
Every residence comes with washers/dryers and programmable thermostats for multi-room climate control. Starting today, roughly 91 percent of the residents are leased, which also includes four out of the five penthouses. The asking prices for one of these penthouses was $10,995/month, the most expensive rental in Jersey City history.
Ellipse offers an substantial amenity and service package, designed to cater to every tenants needs. The 24,000-square foot tower has a two level lobby and a 24-hour doorman. Those who work from home are offered ample co-working space within the building and relaxing lounge options via the multi-purpose lounge or game room. Perhaps one of the most enticing aspects is the state-of-the-art gym with perfect views of the Manhattan skyline.
If you have kids, then that’s a bonus! The Ellipse offers a children’s playroom with a rubber gym floor. The most beloved resource at the Ellipse is the wide outdoor pool and terrace that also is equipped with a barbecue area and fire pit. The pool is expected to be open during Summer 2018.
Given that the tower is located in a desired location, residents can enjoy the 4.25-acre park featuring an urban beach on the Hudson River, a 17,000-square foot playground, 30,000-square foot turf field, and free Wi-Fi. This area is also accommodated with high end restaurants and the Newport Path allowing residents to commute between Manhattan and Hoboken 24/7. One thing is for certain: living in luxury takes on a new meaning when living at the Ellipse.
