Permare Shipyard is back to announce the third launch in the latest Amer Yachts’ “Save the Sea” series with their fuel efficient Amer 94. Launched in late June, the ship premiered in Viareggio, Italy as the first superyacht to be powered by three Volvo Penta IPS 1200 engines made to accommodate speed, fuel efficiency and provide more interior space. Because of this extra space, the Italian shipyard managed to create a unique five-stateroom layout that can lodge up to eight guests.
Measuring in at a solid 94 feet, this mega boat reaches a speed of 29.3 knots, which is impressive for its size. At this top speed, fuel consumption is about four gallons per mile making Amer 94 about 30 percent more fuel efficient than other yachts in its class. Not only do the triple Volvo Penta engines make for a more fuel efficient vessel, they also make for a much quieter ride by reducing perceivable sounds from inside the cabin by 50 percent.
With a flybridge extending over the stern to reveal a black, opening hardtop, lounge seating, sunbeds and a wet bar, it’s clear this superyacht was designed with sleek intentions. Find yet another lounge area in the bow where you can relax and rewind in privacy in this secluded enclave. Then, make your way to the main deck for a more sociable atmosphere. The cockpit table, which can be connected to the surrounding lounges, is intended for casual alfresco dining while the eight-person dining table on the opposite end gives way to more formal occasions. Nonetheless you’ll feel connected and in tune with your guests in this intimate social environment.
At the end of the night find yourself in the five-stateroom layout located on the deck below that features three full suites and two twin cabins for full comfort and luxury. So, hop aboard a yacht that offers the same elegant appeal with an environmentally conscious message. The fuel efficient Amer 94 will be shown at the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Genoa International Boat Show.
