More than 90 of the city’s most influential gathered at Morgan’s on Fulton on Wednesday, May 3 to celebrate Tiffany & Co.’s Tiffany HardWear collection.
Tiffany & Co., along with lifestyle and fashion blogger, Shalice Noel, hosted the celebration in the form of a cocktail party. At the trendy West Loop locale, Morgan’s on Fulton, Tiffany & Co. and Shalice Noel welcomed editors, clients and social Chicago tastemakers, such as Elise Hofer Shaw, Bridget McDermitt, Blake Von D, Ashley Hutchinson, Monika Pardala, Janet Mandell, Danielle Moss, Tina Kourasis, Ali Stone, Nikia Jefferson and Zahra Sandberg. All of these movers and shakers got a chance to try on the collection and take photos at the picture-perfect venue with a custom Tiffany & Co. backdrop. DJ Lani Love performed during the event and models mingled with guests while wearing the collection.
The collection, first designed in 1971, first began with a unisex bracelet, but has recently been reimagined to include earrings, rings, necklaces and pendants. The collection was designed with the intention of embodying the power and spirit of New York City and the energy of the streets, and the collection is made to be worn as easily with a leather jacket as well as couture. This energy, dually represented in Chicago, is apparent in the collection, as the name and design of each product borrow from the urban soul of New York, where the modern rebel mixes high fashion with street style.
The Tiffany HardWear collection features metal-intensive designs for a very industrial-chic feel, with signature gauge links as the symbol of this graphic collection. Crafted with 18k gold, the designs may look utilitarian, but are made for the fashion-forward woman in mind.
